Real Life Analogue

Unread post by Plastic Jesus »

So, my neighbor has a propane tank sitting in his garage all the time, and every time I walk past his house I feel this urgent desire to run over there and grab it because I might need it later.

Anyone else have any real life analogues that feel like being in-game?

Well, I don't care if it rains or freezes,
Long as I have my plastic Jesus
Riding on the dashboard of my car
Through all trials and tribulations,
We will travel every nation,
With my plastic Jesus I'll go far.

One time after I was playing a lot of Advance Wars, I was eating dinner with my family when i randomly just stopped and waited for everyone else to take their turn, and them I realized eating wasn't turn based.

That's the biggest fail on here.

Actually yes Jesus.. I thought I was the only one. But when I see propane tanks and gas stations i think of L4D. Last time I went to a gas station (i had been playing l4d religiously then) I was afraid to get too close to teh tanks cause I thought they'd blow up o.o Sad stuff

Yeah, I tend to walk the halls at work and then imagine where sentries would go.

Back when I played Quake 1, my friends and I would talk about what we would do in various locations (like WalMart) if they were Quake maps.

BTW, if you fired an automatic shotgun for half an hour like in L4D your arm would turn into Jello.

After playing L4D and TF2 all day, I looked for the "V" key to talk until I realized that I didn't have to.

I'll do that if I'm on the phone. I unplug my mic now because I used to hit "v" when I was talking to my gf while playing.

You may want to see a psychiatrist about that, or maybe a Buddhist priest.

One day I was eating a sandwich and I was wondering how much health I would have regained after I was finished.

I'm always scoping buildings and areas and thinking how they'd be cool to use in a map.

When I was in school I used to have some weird reoccouring(sic) dreams. I was in my room, but really 'fn small. And I was being chased by cops shooting at me (they were small too). So it was like being in a rat map.
This would be worth money if you had it in writing

This wasn't me, but one day one of my friends decided to test how many days of lack of sleep it took to see hallucinations. after a while he cracked, picked up his Nerf gun, and saw Metro police on his fence. He shot them yelling "I'M GORDON FREEMAN BITCHES!" or so I was told.

Been there, hallucinations are a bitch. At one point I was kicking the air, thinking that maybe Lego Darth Vader would give up his attempts to hook up with me if I did the chun-li bitch kick enough.
