Computer won't start up

My computer is refusing to boot up. Last night, when I attempted to turn it off, I accidently put it on sleep mode, and in my retarded state, just manually held the power switch and shut it off. When I tried to turn it on today, it went through the whole spiel of starting up, then gave me the choices of how to start the computer, with safe mode, safe mode with network support, safemode with command prompt, last succesful boot configuration, and start windows normally. I've tried all of these about ten times, but when it goes to the loading screen with the microsoft corporation. It takes a good 5-7 minutes before restarting all together and i have to go through the same process.
I run it on windows vista 64 bit, and I even tried the first option of reinstalling the disk, but it just does the same thing.
My question is, how do I fix this, because it's really pissing me off
