I added a twitter feed to the site. You can currently reach it by clicking on the link below the announcements (next to the shoutbox).

I am looking for people to post general funny comments or whatever people post on twitter and keep it updated at least daily. Message me via google talk or PM if you are interested. Include a few funny comments in your message so I know what kind of stuff you would want to post.

Depending on how well this works out, I'll probably make it more prominent on the site. I just wanted to get it rolling and out there to see what the response was. People like twitter, right?

Well if you made a group I'm sure that would change as people started joining. And I only have Blue...but that's only cuz he's my IRL bff.

You can make a bunch of admins on the group. Giggles you should make it if you want to. I'm not a big face-booker.

If anyone cares about this twitter thing I updated it so in addition to grabbing posts from our account, it will also pick up any posts that contain @calcChaos. This way any one of you guys can post on the feed and I can still post official announcement stuff from the main channel.

I'll be moving the twitter feed somewhere more prominent within the next few days. Get postin'.

Personally, I don't like twitter, but i know that a lot of people do. I think it's a good idea, for a more constituent shoutbox-type thing.

It shouldn't anymore. I work on the site when it is live so things get broken for brief periods of time.

I like the new layout. It works well, but I don't understand the difference between an hour ago (by the way, should be a hour, but now I'm nitpicking) and 1 hour, because I'd think there's a difference.

Technically in would b a hour because the h is not a vowel, it's just silent. That was not the point of my post.

Technically it would be "An hour" because it still makes the vowel sound (the H is silent).

Good point Random, but that again is only is situations were it is followed by a vowel (speaking French grammar not English), so I guess since hour is followed buy the ou, the h could be viewed as a vowel, but take into considerations common English grammar. One says an hour, but could spell it a or an. It is both common and correct.

Hour, along with other words beginning with h which have come from French, like 'honest', have a silent letter h. "An" is used with nouns which begin with a vowel sound, not just with a vowel, so a noun which begins with a silent consonant (which would pretty much have to be H) also would use "an."

Similarly you should say “a union” even if union begins with a “u.” It's "an odd oddity" as I put it. You would never type an union, even though grammatical stand point it should That is because the pronunciation begins with “yu”, which is a consonant sound.

Depends if you base typing on grammatical or spoken law.

It's ironic because ~80% of the people on the internet are too lazy/don't care enough to use proper grammar/spelling.
