If I get $50 in total donations within the next two weeks I will get a L4D server for the community. It should be noted that I personally added this much to our bank account this afternoon.

It will be hosted in Texas and be a stock server for the most part since I don't know enough about L4D to know what adjustments would be good to make. I won't change spawn times or put any stupid mods on it unless people overwhelmingly want something.

Everyone could have kick/ban powers but that's probably all you need since the in game system allows for most of the things you need to do.

That's it, no stipulations. I just need more money in the donation box in order for me to feel comfortable adding additional monthly costs to the community. If anyone can't donate via pay pal but would still like to make a donation, you can contact me via PM and I will give you my address to send me a check or something. If you only have cash you can get cashiers checks from the grocery store for like fifty cents and send that.

Not a single person has donated The $50 I donated last week will cover us up until the middle of next month and then we are back to 0 again.

I gotta figure out a way to get outside people to give me money or provide some kind of benifit to donating. Anyone have any ideas?

please don't give donators secial powers, I hate those servers.

All I can think of is reserved slots, but I would prefer to use that as a last ditch effort.

Yeah, I'd donate for a theme song that plays when I enter the server. Dunno what the evilrocket thing is.

I'll look into that theme song thing to see how annoying it would be but I think that is probably the best option.

Reserved slots is kinda pointless since the server is almost never full.

do you have a subscription thing set up? I'd rather subscribe once for a low amount than make donations every so often

I would honestly donate but funds are a bit tight right now, as soon as I can get some spare I will send it your way. A L4D server would be amazing.

Not really I dont think all of that will add up to $50,000...it depends whether or not I decide to buy anything else...dont ask me how I got that money...

my 2 best friends are on my side and they will help boost my chances of getting a paypal. Slim and None.

I would HIGHLY disregard getting a L4D server for a community so large.
Of those who donated, you'd almost HAVE to give them reserve slots, not to mention people usually love to beat up on public players, meaning 4 friends Vs 4 Randoms.

So that narrows it down to 4 people at a time, unless you REALLY want to 4v4, which I also do not condone. Left 4 Dead is a game of much seriousness, and people can get pretty pissy at others.

Also, I'm sure if everyone asked DUKE, he'd let you play on his server, we don't use it too terribly much. However it has those "gay mods" like Hunter/Smoker release, ledge release (for stupid glitches), and Bot-Take-Over (when a survivor dies and wants to take over the Bot that's on their team).

That's hypocritical. don't get a privet server... just play on DUKE's privet server? im all for a L4D cC server, but im prob not gonna pay anything.
