Yeah... Using bots only on team? Or did your entire team rage quit? xD not possible with bots they're too stupid

This is why a cC l4d server with the same admin as tf2 servers doesn't sound appealing to me.

That's why we wouldn't have the same admin powers, the gameplay is different so I think the powers should adjust accordingly.

You can't set SV_cheats as an admin. Also, there is not really any reason to have admins that can do anything beyond kick/ban in L4D. We might tweak server settings but not much would be done outside of that since everything is handled by whomever is running the lobby to my understanding.

I'm probably paranoid. I like my L4D very vanilla and have wound up on too many servers where admin like to spawn bunches of tanks or respawn their own team faster and such.

Yeah. That's how it was in the first server we tried to play the other night. It's a little hard to win a game of versus when the infected have insta spawn.

Another reason to get a L4D server - so we don't get crap servers like those. At least we could trust this one instead of hoping to get a non-laggy, modded up server every time we try to play.

Now that plastic is back into L4D maybe he will reconsider running it. I have no problem paying for it if people use it. I'm sure it will bring in more donations.

I have to see what my summer will be like before I can think about getting a L4D server.

Perhaps we can think about a Garrysmod server soon after? If we have some excess donations, of course, there would be much more after a left 4 dead server.
It wouldn't have to be too big, and it should be in the hands of someone with familiarity on running a server as well as someone who knows garrysmod well.

No one has donated towards the left for dead server so I don't know if this will be coming soon or not. The $50 I donated last week will cover us up until the middle of next month and then we are back to 0 again.

I gotta figure out a way to get outside people to give me money or provide some kind of benifit to donating.

Once I get my tax refund I'll donate $100 to cC and $100 to NPR, and if I have the funds to do it I'll probably start a L4D server.

i could help run it if need be i should have a little more time during the summer...hopefully
