The mailman brought me a very welcome surprise today, a letter from our own Gabriel Archangel, who is now earning his Globe & Anchor at the United States Marine Corps Depot, San Diego !

He says that all is going well, his platoon is ahead of the others on the training schedule (a very good thing)and that the recruit training is easier than he expected it would be. He was also asking about you guys as well.

I plan on shooting him a reply on Monday, and I thought it Gabe might appreciate hearing form some of you. SoooOOooo… Anybody who wants to leave a post for me to cut & paste and forward on to him, do so and I’ll see that he gets it.Keep it short, they do not give recruits a lot of personal time, and of course be supportive. We should all be proud of him. I know I am!

Sorry about the late reply, I don’t check the forums as often I’d like… Anyhow, I did forward the gangs comments to Gabe and exchanged a couple of letters, during which Gabe completed his training and earned his Globe & Anchor. He was then was given some leave time before his advanced technical training in which he spent a good amount of time on the server reminding us that he is deadly not only virtually, but in reality as well!
