What would you do with $1 million dollars?

Exactly as the thread asks. What would you do if you magically received $1 million tax free dollars.
I would probably buy a small but nice house a nice car and a dang good computer.

Buy a modest house and live off the rest of the money so I didn't have to work for a while. Then I would get a few more game servers and spend my time building this community into something that actually made money.

I would develope a cure for cancer, make ANOTHER MILLION selling it, then give it away for free and develope a cure for aids, sell it making another million, then make IT free and etc. with the common cold and other diseases and whatnot while putting some money into bonds and stocks the whole time.

Similar, buy a modest house invest in the community, do not work at all

Sorry to shoot down your dream doghouse but do you have any idea how many millions of dollars has gone into creating a cure for any one of those diseases? Also if you did find a cure you would make a LOT more the $1 million.

Sadly, the million isn't what it used to be. But as for me, I'd keep it in my back pocket for whatever I need, because one day I'm going to regret doing something stupid with it. Wouldn't want to change my life too much without being able to go back.

see I like to think of that problem as a spy. the answer is somewhere right in your face...I KNOW IT but with wars and guns and stuff like that that the government is poring their money into (and the fact that the U.S. government tends to be kinda dull) that they can't see the answer. I think it could all be really simple

I would pay off the debts of a handful of close friends, invest 20% of what's left, and spend as much time traveling and living it up as the rest of the money would allow. Summer in italy, etc., not constant travel.

I would truthfully set up an account that had a decent interest rate, and each time the interest is compounded I would only remove that much from my account. I could live forever never having to work, while having an endless supply of cash. God I love how economics can work for those that know how to play it.

aww poor sas
well for me buy a great computer/make my own and then help cc community (cause i have not really contributed even though i want to)
then i would put a lot into my church to help them then save the rest (if any) for a rainy day.
