I have completed the admin badge. Feel free to vote for people.

In order to deal with any potential abuse I have decided that the forum widget will not automatically add admins to the servers. All this means is that you may have a short waiting period before someone approves your admin or removes it (when applicable).

I am going to be working on an admin panel that a few people will have access to in order to moderate admins. Basically all you will have to do is check the updates page and approve or deny admin changes. I'm accepting applications for people to do this via GOOGLE TALK only (theangrycapt@gmail).

You can vote for people by clicking on the 'yes' button next to their posts. You can vote against someone by clicking on the 'no' button. I will be working on making it look pretty tomorrow.

I would imagine that people will vote for people that they think would be good admins and people that they are friends with. Since exposure on the forum is important to getting votes, it is probably a good idea to frequent the forum and post on topics you are interested in.

If you don't have a voting badge next to your name, add your steamid to your profile. You can get edit your profile by clicking on 'User Menu' at the top and going to 'User Control Panel'.

Mabey, for the clumsy, could there be some way to revote, if you hit the wrong button, or if you opinion of a person changes?

You can't revote immediately after you vote for someone but next time they come up you will be able to change it. I'll work on fixing that but it gets kinda complicated.

Not yet but there will be eventually.

I made it a little more pretty today. You will get graphical feedback when you vote now. You also get different colors for people you haven't voted on yet, people you have voted for and people you have voted against.

I am probably done for now. No one has earned admin yet but a few people are close. A few people have already asked me for admin approval and I probably have everyone I need, but feel free to apply if you still want to help out.

heh....why the hell do I even try? I get treated like shit, and in return I get about twenty people that vote against me. You guys enjoy your admin. I'm not going to do anything to get it, I act how I act, adminship doesn't change that.

20 votes is the base. As of now, you're only -3 from neutral. Why do you think 20 people are voting against you?

Yeah, everyone starts at 20 and no one has made it to 0 yet.

I gotta say, ive never come across this method of getting admins, but im liking it so far.

If we vote against someone, but over time we decide to change our minds (i.e. they become more mature/responsible, etc) , is there a way to change our vote, or is it permanently against them?

You can't immediately change your vote but the next time you see their name on a different page you can change your vote.

You should make your votes changeable, cpt. so we can make it a goal to make your votes under 9000!

pretty sure his is changeable. There just isn't enough people on the forum to get the title off.

That's the beauty of the system. Every time you post on the forum, whoever voted against you can change their mind. Keep posting on the forum and make intelligent posts and don't piss people off for a while and you can bring it around.

Also, it isn't a big deal to not be an admin on the server. Not everyone is going to be an admin on the server.

Sorry sas. While you did get a lot of votes some of those are fake. Just like my 9000+ fake votes.
