Thats cool! My brother tried to die his hair once, I think it was supposed to be green, faded to turquoise and then to white. It looked stupid.

Well mines been in for about 2 months now and recently gradually faded out. Since I put it over my brown hair it wasn't obnoxious and nothing drastic happened to the appearance.

You're lucky. Any blue color I've ever tried to put in my hair never works. I don't know why. It doesn't matter how much I bleach it. I just stick with purple now.

You could buy a specific hair dye for darker hair and put it over like I did. It gives a highlighted effect and works out really well.
With bleaching and then colouring, going for the brighter colors can be difficult because when you bleach it can make things a little more difficult to predict what will happen, but try leaving it is for a shorter amount of time rather than longer, and you may have to find a different bleach or change the amount of time you leave it on to have it come out more white than yellow.
