Yeah, I'm the new admin on the block, and I haven't been able to play much. Glad to hear you approve of me.

I am barley getting votes. But this'll work out great since people who ive heard had to to messege captain. Just make sure who ever does approving will be on enough and won't be dick about it all.

I tried to vote for someone to be an admin, but I just got stuck on a page with 3 red dots...

those 3 red dots sounds like it didn't finish loading

When I choose yes, I go to a blank page with 3 red dots flashing from left to right in the upper left corner and my browser tells me on the bottom left that there was is an error on the page. I left it going for 5 minutes and nothing changed.

I cant say why it does that, but you're describing exactly what the voting area looks like when its loading.

try a different browser?

That does happen for some users when they use their steam name and not their steamid for the widget. I try and fix these when I see them but it is kind of a pain in the ass. I need to update the code to not show the badge when they enter the wrong kind of steamid.

Did I enter the wrong kind of Steam Id? I used the one that www.mysteamid.com told me.

naa just playin. Ya we gotta take care of the ppl who are on the faggish side of life when it comes to playing on our servers. Annoying micspammer(even if it's through voice), bullies, stuff like that.

personally this system is working perfect. although th funserver is a little low on admins right now that not a problem seeing as its the funserver and there is no more micspams, as for the way to get high admin, its fine the way it it. you get it when you get it. that way if you go up 30 votes in one day because you told everybody to go on the the forums and vote for you, you still wont get it. you have to know people in the community, not just people on one of the servers

Also, its probably not the best idea to give someone who is new to the servers/forms admin until you get to know the people around here. You need to build up a name for yourself. If you tell people on the server to vote for you some people may vote you down just to spite you. I'm trying to get admin but it doesn't matter to me when i get it, it could be today it could be in a year or more. it doesn't matter, it will happen when it happens. And there's no use worrying about it until it does.

So u are accepting aplications for admins?

if you had read my and tomm's post above, you would learn that there is no real application process for getting admin. you have to play on the server and make friends. then those friends will vote yes if they think you'd make a good admin or vice versa. people want to know that the admin they vote for will be fair and not just grief them.
