Half of it were about Colors. I learned about ROY G. BIV in 7th Grade Science. In 8th grade, I did Physics, Chemistry, And Astronomy.

7th Grade is Life Science.
8th Grade is (Mainly) Physical Science. As tampa said.
These are California Standards.
9th Grade is Earth Science if you sucked in 8th grade's Science. You end up taking another year of science if you do Earth. You need to do 2 lab sciences to pass highschool minimum. Earth Science is not lab science.
You go to Biology if you did fine.
If there are any middle schoolers here, don't be terrible at science. You'll be studying about rocks in highschool if you screw up.
