Skullgirls is now availible for pre-order on steam. Pre-order gets you access to the constantly updated beta that I can't play because steam is dumb.

Hey here's a bunch of news that I'm taking off of Shoryuken because stuff is actually happening in fighting games. I'll keep it to mostly PC news and ArcSys games because I'm hella bais.
Guilty Gear Xrd recently had it's first location test.
Looks really good, plays similar to Guilty Gear XX with less superfluous mechanics and more of a focus on core mechanics. I want it all over my body. The news article goes into fine detail.
League of FIghters is shooting for a 2014 release.
It's an indie PC fighter that uses characters from LoL. It recently got a huge dev team to support it and it has Riot's blessing, so there is some potential behind it. It looks a bit simple (read: casual) for me to take too seriously but I know a lot of people play LoL here and might find it interesting.
Here's a trailer, though it's not worth much. It's appearently really early pre-alpha that they rushed out before Evo.
Yatagarasu's crowdfunding drive is coming to a close.
Another indie PC fighter made by ex-King of Fighters developers. It has a simple combat engine and a couple of nice character designs, espicially when they get more outlandish. The crowdfudning drive is adding localization, balance patches, and 2 news characters. There may be a 3rd character which backers can vote on if they get 10 grand in the last 7 hours of the campaign, which isn't that unheard of in crowdfunding.
Edit: Funding over, there are now 3 characters planned, with one of them up to a fan vote. Read all about it.
Beep boop trailer
King of Fighters 13 is getting a steam release.
The long running fighting franchise is getting a steam port some time in the future. This game is really fucking good. I once played this game 8 hours straight with a friend of mine and then played 6 hours the following day. There aren't any details oon the port yet but people are clamoring for a new netcode to replace the terrible KoF has now.
Blazblue Chronophantasma gets a console release date.
Not really news but Blazblue is my first love in fighting games and there are a couple fans of it on the forums. It set to drop on PS3 on the 24th of October in Japan, Q1 2014 in North America. The eurozone can go fuck it self.
Lastly, friendly reminder that Skullgirls launches on Steam on the 22nd of this month. Go buy it.

Holy FUCK. GOD I'M HAVING NO REGRETS GETTING MY PS3 NOW, I CAN'T WAIT TO USE KE-wait. Where's Ken? Damn it.
Still, I'm very hyped to see Yukari's playstyle and hear Junpei's voice again.

Ken is terrible and you know it.
That said, I would almost prefer Ken over Yukari.

Looks like there are open spots in the character select above Yukari and Junpei. Don't worry guys, there's still hope for
Koromaru and Shinjiro

Divekick is now on Steam. $10.
It will be the most kicktastic $10 you ever spend. You have my guarantee, and many things do not come with my guarantee.
If you only have ~40 seconds, here is Divekick:
If you have like 2 hours, here is ALL of Divekick:

Divekick for fighting GOTY 2013. Seriously, the Engrish announcer voice alone made the game worth it.

No mac version yet, the guy who was working on it dropped off the face of the earth. I might just partition my harddrive again and get windows back. Unless someone knows a way to download the windows version of the game outside of steam.
