Because Californian's just can't be happy with warm weather, beaches, and everything that comes with

in Iowa we don't get too much snow in winter (normally) or a ton of really hot weather in summer (normally), but people still complain of course

I am originally from Chicago, which was great. It was a bit hot in summer but not unbearably so. It was also cold in winter, but I could always suck it up and get out. The worst was when it got to -20 with the Wind Chill from Hell raping our faces. Other than a few specific instances though, it was never really bad, except for the fact that I could never wear a hat outside because it would get blown of my head in a matter of seconds.

Now I live in Florida, and I can't stand it. It is smoldering 24/7. If anyone enjoys living in Florida, no offense but when you can see heat shimmers on the road in December, something is wrong with whatever godforsaken place you're in. But, the worst part is the fricking unpredictability of it all. One minute you're sitting on the beach under an umbrella, you look to the sky and you say "Oh look, a little cloud." Five minutes later "HHOOOOOLLLLLLYY CCRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAPP!!!!!!!!" Wind's blowing crap around, thunder and lightning constantly, and IT"S RAINING SIDEWAYS!! Florida is alright for a vacation, but if you want to permanently relocate, consider other options first.

I seriously want to kill you, dissect your corpse, and throw it all into a manatee tank. If you seriously can't look at the sky and realize "Oh shit, that's a rain cloud", you really don't deserve to live in Florida. The road doesn't simmer in December, that only happens on certain days in Summer.

When the cloud looks smaller than a seagull and thinner than fog, I don't expect it to rain. I wasn't talking about giant gray clouds that block out the sun. I was referring to the clouds that are barely visible and are usually gone within 5 minutes. The kind that appear on a blisteringly hot day in July and make you say "Why can't there be more clouds. It's never going to cool down with that puny thing floating by." And I have personally seen the road shimmer in December with my own eyes. It happened when I was leaving school for Winter Break. December 15 I believe at 3 PM.

PS. You don't need to be so violent sheesh. I just said I don't like the weather in Florida. I didn't want to move here. It was my parents' idea and I had no say in the matter. I would have rather stayed in Chicago. Granted there are worse places weather-wise (Arizona) but I just dislike Florida. I'm sorry if I offended you Tampashrew. I was just stating my opinion. If you like Florida that is fine and I respect your opinion. However, there is no need to bite my head off simply because I was unclear in my wording and you disagree with what I said. The last thing I want is people to start hating me on the forums over simple posts. It's just a discussion about opinions.

Again, I'm just saying I don't like living in a bipolar climate. I'm not saying Florida is bad (sorry if that was implied in my first post). I'm just saying I don't like it. I stated my opinion, and it erupted into a flame war. Everyone who replied to my original post except for Giggles is getting pissed at me for stating my opinion. I already said I only dislike LIVING in Florida. I think it's a great vacation spot. Also, I already stated that I respect the fact that everyone has their own opinion, and if they like Florida, that's fine.

This thread started out as a discussion about where we live, whether we like the place or not. Now it has turned into an attack on me for disliking Florida's bipolar weather.

I seem to be having a Fierysnake-esque effect on half the threads I post in (derailing it into a flame war) which is bad. I was told by someone on this forum that I reminded them of Fierysnake because I over-used smilies. Since then, I have stopped using smilies entirely. I wish this would stop happening to me. I post harmless opinions or responses, and I get attacked for it.

PS Thank you Giggles for not jumping on the flame bandwagon.

The answer to all your problems is to just ignore Tampashrew. There was nothing wrong with you as a user before and probably never will be. Tampa is just what professionals call "kind of a dick"
You should take up similar policy to other internet douches and trolls in general.

That joke flew right over your head. Manatees are both harmless and floridian. And if there ever was a cC meetup, I'd be bringing a flak jacket.

according to the good old internet, Florida is approximately 447 miles North to South. So the middle would be 223.5 miles in. :O i cant find out how to get a map of that location ._.

I'm not telling you creepers exactly where I live, but it's basically in the very middle of East Texas. You think your weather is bipolar, it's probably a mild case. Our weather has diagnosed bipolar schizophrenic hallucinations, it's pretty bad. But Texas is still the best state, and this is the best part of Texas to be in, so I'm not complaining too much.

Like I've said before, Texas is the best state, but has the worst weather ever.

Like yesterday, it was nice all day..., then comes midnight and I hear wind at my window. "Must be raining pretty hard," I think. Then, at around 1:50, TORNADO WARNING. And it was clear all day today.

Texas is pretty much the girl/boyfriend you really love, but is also extremely dangerous.

Pennsylvania if I could describe it in four words: Asian redneck backcountry roads

East part of it sucks with there being nothing to do except Hershey Park and no white people
Central has nothing but trees and roads
West has Rednecks and Canadians which is odd since it's the only tolerable part of the state.
