Most of my comments were about music production, I never claimed to know the first bit of music history. Now I'm curious as to why you posted your comment in the first place. ;)

To attempt to correct, blah blah blah

Because you said this:

Wow, do you hear the 10 channels in Lincoln Park's song?
Do you hear the near 30 channels in Pendulum's?

and this:

No matter what you say, no band ever has been original. Some one always did it "first,"

and this:

Pendulum's music takes a lot of work to make. (I take issue with this as you're implying more effort/technique = better music. Linkin Park is a grand example of why this isn't true.)

I take issue with Kerp because he used motherfucking Basshunter as 'typical techno'

I do believe in that statement

As for the other stuff, I never ever EVER said that more complex = better music. However, generally there is some truth to that when you talk about my taste in music. That's not to say simple can't be beautiful, I've always just had taste more bent towards more complex music that engages me as I listen to it,

The orginal statement I went against was "Pendulum is a whiney boy band." Or whatever it was, I'm paraphazing. I disagree because boy bands create effortless, 20 minute-made, 100% Logic-based music fully autimated by people outside the group.

The point is the most talanted musicans actually make there own music, and that music is evolutionary, not revolutionary.

Excuse spelling and my arguementative nature, I'm a little drunk.

To...uh, sorry?

The longest remix I've ever heard using only one band.

Lightning Bolt riffs are still awesome, news at 11

Thanks Rift. One song per stupid post I made. (Ignoring the first one is over 30 songs in one remix)

Fair enough. I just tried to think of some popular techno that isn't really my cup a tea. Admittedly, not the best choice I could've made.

Oh well.

If anyone could point me to the direction of more IDM, I'd appreciate it.

How deep are you into IDM? Aphex Twin, Autechre and Boards of Canada are the go-to intro to IDM bands, but you might already be listening to them.

the flashbulb is interesting, each album (track even) seems to be a new experiment for them.

a little more towards the rhythmic noise side of IDM, i tend to gravitate to the darker stuff, but you might find them interesting. both excellent live.

Mothboy maybe?

or Architect?

you could even go as far as Vromb and Mlada Fronta (and his side projects).

ive seen Mlada Fronta live, over two sets - one rhythmic noise, and one ambient. both great shows.

I've really only been listening to Flashbulb and a bit of venetian snares. Got a bit more to work with now.

Worth noting that each of the acts I mentioned have a very different sound from each other and the acts you mentioned, IDM is very diverse.

This is shit is a anthem of a generation... Like every time the generation of the 2000's is mentioned, this song should be played.

Lyrics
Sunlight coming through the haze
No gaps in the blind
To let it inside
The bed is unmade
Some music still plays

TV, yeah it's always on
The flicker of the screen
A movie actress screams
I'm basking in the shit flowing out of it

I'm stoned in the mall again
Terminally bored
Shuffling round the stores
And shoplifting is getting so last year's thing

X-box is a god to me
A finger on the switch
My mother is a bitch
My father gave up ever trying to talk to me

Don't try engaging me
The vaguest of shrugs
The prescription drugs
You'll never find
A person inside

My face is mogadon
Curiosity
Has given up on me
I'm tuning out desires
The pills are on the rise

How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me
I need to know that someone sees that
There's nothing left I simply am not here

I'm through with pornography
The acting is lame
The action is tame
Explicitly dull
arousal annulled

Your mouth should be boarded up
Talking all day
With nothing to say
Your shallow proclamations
All misinformation

My friend says he wants to die
He's in a band
They sound like Pearl Jam
The clothes are all black
The music is crap

In school I don't concentrate
And sex is kinda fun
But just another one
Of all the empty ways
Of using up a day

How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me
I need to know that someone sees that
There's nothing left I simply am not here

Bipolar disorder
Can't deal with the boredom

You don't try to be liked
You don't mind
You feel no sun
You steal a gun
To kill time

You're somewhere, you're nowhere
You don't care
You catch the breeze
You still the leaves
So now where?

Parole (Lyrics):

Well I WAS a Furry when I was younger and even more innocent then I am now; but then I just stoped being one. At one point of time I was anti-furry, but now I am fur-friendly, I actually go to Furry (, Anime and other) connetions a lot.

Man, to this day I still don't get why people hate furries out of all the really weird fetishes. It's far from being the weirdest thing on the internet.

And yeah, I know most "furries" aren't in it for the porn, but honestly it's the porn that spawns all the hate for the subculture.
