Isn't the comic-con thing in April? Goose nor I would be able to make it because I classes don't end till May 10th.

Thats a good point. With my wife being a teacher I'd have a better shot after classes are done as well.

Re: Calculated Chaos Group Meet/LAN Party...
Sorry I don't have an update. Work is fucking killing me.
Honestly, I kinda want to use this as an excuse to go to both East and West PAX in 2011. It would be a great way to split the two sides of the country and I would get to do a bunch of travel.
We could chip in and get as many rooms as we need. Sleeping 4 to a room at around $100 to $125 a night isn't too expensive and you can easily toss a couple people on the floor in a sleeping bag to make it even cheaper.
This would solve any drinking/drug use issues because we would be able to just follow the rules of the convention or split up rooms into drinking/non-drinking. It would also help solve the issue of food and keeping all you guys occupied for a few days since there would be plenty of stuff to do.
Most of all though, I think it would bring more people together since it is a much larger event that all you guys would actually be interested in.
Anyway, we can certainly still do it as planned in a centralized location this year or decide to save money and start planning for next year. I won't get a chance to seriously look at locations and figure out costs for a couple weeks but at that point we can start getting down to the details.

What kind of a parent would send a 13 year old kid out to a van driven by a creepy guy with a beard?

Won't be able to do anything like this until I'm 18....but for future reference add me to Columbus, Ohio. I also notice Hanzo Blade was in Columbus too.

Bump.
Everyone just come to Texas. The drive for you to get here is about the same as just trying to get OUT of this state.
