your hair isnt exactly red, it has more brown and black. the beard is more red.

I know what it means. I even reviewed dictionary.com to double check what I thought it meant. Both dictionary.com and I agree that in this case, it
ISN'T ironic unless he was going with the "unexpected/coincidental" route, which is the only one that makes any sense, but at the same time my old english textbook disagrees with that (Grammar nazi's ALWAYS keep their english textbooks).
Guess it comes down to weather you're gonna be picky or not.
