After visiting the server a couple of times and making friends with the one person I deemed worthy, I came across a certain Plastic Jesus. Now this man(?) rages sooo much that the sole reason I play this server is to see him rage, for it brings much joy to me. The simple act of not healing him every moment I am medic brings out the five year old in him. So after a rousing game of playing battle medic, I was tactfully renamed to "Sack of shit" by the great man himself. A short bit later in an exciting battle of 3v2, in the super serious map Hall of Death, I was renamed again to the vastly immature "(Something, I can't quite remember) McGreiferson", then promptly banned. The reason for this banning was that I was riding an engineer's teleporters, supplying her some much needed points for our team (Might I add that I was on the team that was one player up.) I suppose the real reason I am writing this is that I am wondering, does the 'calculatedChaos' gaming group put up with this sort of admin abuse? Is this the sort of behavior I can come to expect from all the cC admins? Because this is the sort of message that I am recieveing from this server; that I can't enjoy this game in the way that I wish to enjoy it.

Also, these smilies are pretty lame, minus the TMNT ones. Those just rock. Fuck yes, Don, fuck yes.

As he said, he enjoys it when he can upset people. He wasn't there to play TF2 but merely to grief, as it seems that is also his sole point for joining the forums. I renamed him to "Sack of Crap" as a warning, and refrained from kicking him initally because I wanted to see how far he would go. He basically just griefed and trolled the entire time. I eventually kicked him when he was building a sentry outside of the spawn and a teleporter with the exit right next to it. It always progresses, it starts with someone doing something they know is mildy anoying, and when someone asks them to stop, they continue, then when told to stop or given a warning they do even more. I see it start all the time, the "battle medic", the engie that builds a sentry at the spawn, and the scout that runs around batting his own teammates. Louise is obviously one of those guys, they aren't there to play a team game but to just screw arround and be a douche, as for some reason (he admits to this) they enjoy upseting people.

Regular porn, I'll warn, but some things go too far, cartoon porn is just shy of child porn. When you take popular images from shows that are geared towards children or child-like cartoon images and eroticize them you are stepping over a line. I have worked with children who have been abused, and if there is one thing in this world above all others that I will NEVER tolerate it is child abuse.

BTW... Louise the Lovable Lungfish was on the server this evening, playing battle medic. I gave my usual diatribe about how much I hate battle medics, and as people who play battle medic do he continued to (what I consider) grief play, even exclaiming how he was going to kritzkrieg another medic who was actually healing people. So I renamed him something silly and refrained from kicking him or worse. Then ironicly enough, as I said in my other reply, as people like this often do, he switched to engie and began building a teleporter outside of the spawn and an exit right next to it along with a sentry facing the spawn. THIS is the progression, it starts with crap like battle medic or something equally asinine and moves to outright grief play. It's why when I see it starting I get twitchy, afterall it is TEAM Fortress, and people who are there just to douche around like this are just getting in the way, wasting ammo and health packs, and just outright ruining the game.

I didn't ban him. All I did was rename him, and when the server population dropped I kicked him. It is a game, but the game is Team Fortress 2, and I when I play it I am playing Team Fortress 2, not "Stand around and do stupid shit." If people want to do that, then they should go to the "fun server" and build sentries in the sky box, play battle medic, and whatever other stupid junk they want. Think of playing basketball, a pickup game at the gym, and someone joins your team but every time someone passes him the ball or he get the ball from the other team he just throws it out of bounds. Sure he might be having fun, but how is that going to affect his team? You can justify the behavoir by saying, "it's just game," but it still negatively affects the other people who have already agreed upon a minimum level of shared goals for playing that game. If your own personal goal conflicts with others, then you are causing conflict. Everyone's goal is to have fun, but not everyone's fun is the same.

Aggreeing with Jesus on these kinds of things is like sticking your face over a firework mortar when the fuse is used up but it doesn't fire; however, I have been in games with Louise and he made the right decision. He does it on any other server he has been on and always complains when someone tells him to just play and not goof off. So I support Jesus' decision, eventhough I wasn't there to witness the events, I have enough prior experience with it to know that the right choice was made.

Wasn't there something in the MOTD that said Admins use their own discression when making decisions? Although Plastic can get a bit raged sometimes, his discression is trusted by most of everybody, including myself. He makes a point of not acting out of rage and in order to help that he sometimes leaves the game for a little while. Out of all the griefers I've seen, they usually start with this. They don't care if you warn them and whatnot, and they keep coming back until you do something about it. It's almost like they want you to kick or ban or take some sort of action only to have them freak out and cry over it.

Votekick/bans are very easily abused and can end up permabanning innocent people, and can be hacked so that one person can use it several times without a cooldown, targeting random people.

i think this whole situation is done with and over...yes plastic can get a little too angry sometimes...especially when people suck at a class (like when i play spy or medic or something) i like to practice to get better and when the team is small its even easier to do this...i realize that this wasnt the situation here and i agree with plastics decision from what i've heard but i agree that every now and then it goes too far...he's the new ljw thats for sure...anyeurism man ftl

I think Louie knows how to play the game, he was on yesterday and tried to troll right away. I basically told him not to start (I think my words were "Don't even start it-repeat three times-because I won't hold back this time) he behaved himself last night and from what I saw he was fairly playing as an engie and spy.

Also, I only played well the other night because I can't resist being engineer on Aqua. They shoot out the fast water and get stuck on my dispenser and my sentry tears em up. Oh lawd I have orgasms just thinking about it.
