You forgot the part where all the Pokemon-OUTier-Protean-Metagame loading fucks are jerking off to it.

As for the Jigglypuff, Nova pretty much proved a good point for her.

4:34 PM - Novaphyer: Jigglypuff is a first gen pokemon, the only reason why Jigglypuff was in brawl was because she was one of the originals
4:35 PM - Novaphyer: Now that there's 6 gens, new generations of children don't understand why or how important she was and why.

I'm not gonna lie though, these factors makes me worry about whether Ness will make it in or not. All he has is an earthbound port/remaster and Veterancy. And you know, people don't even know that earthbound isn't the name of the franchise. So you can assume well that his games aren't really that popular. (At least from what I gathered.)

Melee players are probably throwing a shitfit about Jigglypuff not being in the game. She was one of the best characters in that game.

Damn fucking straight. They also buffed her a lot in Brawl and the truth is she was one of the most fun characters to use, if you knew how.

Hahahaha what the fuck. Maybe for 4 person brawls sure, because of the improved neutral B, but other than that, she was nerfed pretty bad.

Anyone going to this? 22 mile drive from my house to get to one, and I've got a pretty decent group alongside.

Metagame forums are like Wikipedia when consulted as a primary source: really full of shit. If Jigglypuff had in any way been noticeably nerfed in Brawl I would have somehow seen less success kicking other players' asses with her. These days I'm rusty as fuck at the game, but if you can't beat people one on one with Jigglypuff just because she has always been the lightest character in the entire game (main downside) then you really need to get sum gud.

I know very little about smash, despite having played various entries in the series for short periods of time at friend's houses..several years back.

What i like: It's fun.

What i don't like: People making up these tier lists on which characters are the best

In my opinion, the characters are very "The Wand chooses the Wizard, harry" and the character you do the best at will end up being the one you play the most.
(No, i'm not sure why i tried to hammer a harry potter quote in there, either)

Kirby was the first character I ever played on the N64 smash at a friend's house when I was like 7 and I have mained him in every subsequent game in the series over the course of some 14 years. I played some brawl for the first time in years recently and found that I'm still rusty at most of the game's characters but remain almost as good at murdering people with Kirby as I was 5 years ago. Certain characters definitely do grow on you.

In any game with even a moderate degree of variety, some things will be flat out better than others. That's all.

People telling you that you're garbaje for picking someone like Mewtwo in Melee are just being dumb.
But I won't lie, you are garbaje if you pick Pichu.
Life is whatever.

This. And a lot of tier stuff in smash is worthless unless you have the execution to pull off high level shit. Like fox and falco aren't nearly as good as people say they are if you can't shine.

No one's talking about the leak after it's been a week, and then confirmed a bit?

SHOPPED BECAUSE PIXELS ETC

Really, though. If Hideo Kojima doesn't go back to Sakurai and HAL and pull some hilarious gag out of his ass to reintroduce Snake into the game, even if it's just some kind of later DLC, then I will nuke Texas, which I already was going to do anyway, to the relief of the other 49 states. Yes, this will somehow be Texas' fault.

Don't own Smash 4, so these summarize my overall exposure to the reactions people who do had to it. For some groups, a consensus has emerged.
