well my computer isnt working...any help would be great

Ok. well when i power it up the fans spin up but nothing happens. usually my keyboard lights up and such. now it does nothing. i get no bios or anything. my moniter stays in powersave and everything. if you need/want more details like specs and stuff let me know

Did you make sure to plug everything back in if you were poking around inside? I had the same issue with my pc when I got my new graphics card. Also, make sure that your powersupply is large enough to support everything.

um yeah i did...and it has been working for a long time now...my dad shut it off and now it wont turn back on

Dumb question, but did you check the power switch in the back?
Give the hardest job to the laziest person, and they will find the easiest way to do it.

He said the fan was going so if the voltage was switched that wouldn't happen I think.

Did you check the voltage switch? The little red one? If that got switched and then you turned your computer on it would seriously fuck up your computer.

I'm thinking more it got switched and then switched back.

Your computer will sure as hell start. Then it will send the wrong voltage to all the stuff in your computer and fry everything.

my psu doesnt even have one so no...and its in the hands of others now...gave my baby to complete strangers who will invade her every orfice and crack trying to find things... its almost heart breaking... :barf:

The voltage switch is on the back of the power supply, not on the CPU. You definitely have one of these.

umm i know that...thats what i said cap...and mine has a power switch but nothing to change the voltage...

officially my mobo is fried...my dad and i dont think that its worth fixing so i am hopefully gettign a new computer

They all do, its right under the main on/off switch, or on the side opposite it. Btw congrats on frying your motherboard!! haha, jk hope to see you back on soon.
