Some of you may know that I am a sociologist, I am currently working on a project that involves analyzing various statistical data sets. One of the programs that I use to do this calculates things like bivariates, Pearson correlations and a bunch of other boring crap you could give a rats ass about. I have a bunch of data sets on a USB drive. Usually I can only do my calculations at school because the software (SPSS) cpsts a butt ton. I brought the USB home today and was moving files around when I noticed that my computer decided that the data sets that I am using SPSS for were in fact HL2 SAV files LOL. So as a joke I tried to open them and crashed my computer.
fail

HL2 can do anything!
Well, I don't care if it rains or freezes,
Long as I have my plastic Jesus
Riding on the dashboard of my car
Through all trials and tribulations,
We will travel every nation,
With my plastic Jesus I'll go far.

Quoted from http://filext.com/file-extension/SAV :
Various programs use this extension; too many to list individually. Take clues from the location of the file as a possible pointer to exactly which program is producing the file. The file's date and time can also help if you know which programs you were running when the file was written.
Half life 2 is just associated with them on your computer.

Did that USB drive look anything like the blue thing that Alyx carried about 1/2 way through episode 1? If yes, then I may be on to something big...
