Online Public Speaking.

Unread post by Sastora »

So as the title says I have an online speaking class. I video tape myself doing a speech and put it on youtube and send the teacher a link.

The first speech is just to see if everything is working and its about your Pet Peeve. What Pet Peeve should I do?

People generalizing cats as cold, cruel, stupid animals.

If that's not helpful, anything Goose does that annoys you.

If that's not helpful, carry on your life until you get frustrated and talk about that.

Or you could even talk about being frustrated.

Lol! I love the one about people and cats. C: That one sounds awesome.
As a solution we can open up a cat petting zoo. C:

Glad to have helped =P.

Would the cats like being in the zoo though? <_<

Oh, then it's aight.

=D

Let's include some lions and tigers but no bears to the zoo also, so people lose their "oh em gee tigerz/lionz eat people" stereotype.

=P

Hope it works.

Too many things. It seems like everything I do annoys her...

Choose a subject you feel comfortable with then just have some fun with it. Perhaps your peeve is having to do peeve videos on YouTube or the ever popular “There no Toilet paper in the bathroom” sketch. Or... Being Blind could be interesting too.

What’s more important than the subject is the delivery. Be confident and don’t beat yourself up on a mistake… Just keep moving. Talk to the camera as if you’re talking to your friend.

This will be a good break in experience for something that could come in beneficial for you later in life. Relax, be confident in yourself and you’ll do fine. 8-)

Thanks Big John. C:
This one is pretty much just to make sure the camera works and stuff, the next one is an Introduction speech which needs to be 3-4 min. long. So it gets more detailed over time.

Maybe I'll do this topic:

Cats and dogs that are inconsiderate of their human's sleeping habits, and decide to romp, play, and destroy stuff at 4 AM.

I'm having trouble finding what to say for any of the topics.

That's a good one. My cats figured out that if they grab my hair in their teeth and pull that it a) hurts and b) wakes me up. It's so annoying.

Lol. My cat used to do that when he was little but not anymore. Last night I was up at 3 to find my cat trying to wake me up and meowing trying to get on my windowsill and I yelled at him and fed him so he would go away but he didn't. He came back and continued to do what he has been doing for the past 20 min. I get nervous that he is going to knock down my jewlery box so I move it and about five minutes later there is a huge crash and my box is on the floor, rings, necklaces, earrings- everything! All on the floor. He is lucky the glass didn't break....
