Ok im wondering how does mozilla fire fox crash and how did I lose all my passwords[300+] in the process.

well firefox refuses to download anything on my macbook so i think that's a bit worse.

I use Nortons to save all my passwords in cos I found that you could gain access too easily to the saved passwords in internet browsers, where as with Nortons I just log in to an Identity Profile and all my passwords are there and then they cant be "seen" without the proper password.
Firefox is becoming annoying for me also, on one website, it has to use Java where IE doesn't, and if I switch between one page thats live weather and go to the webcam page for some reason firefox just closes. Plus firefox updates have stopped the Real Browser Record Plugin working

. Try running FF in Safe Mode and see if you get the crash. Version 3 and above I think has a Crash Reporter program that is supposed to send crash reports to Mozilla, but its only ever done that about twice with me. Try also joining the Mozilla support pages and asking your question there, its helped me in the past when I've had problems.

software does crash. the password loss sounds like some sort of memory error - they just never got written back to whereever ff saves the passwd db.

as steve mentioned, try safe mode. you may also want to remove unused plugins and/or disable all of your plugins and then give ff a try. poorly written plugins are problem sources.

Most newer cell phones have a password keeper app that you can use to store all your passwords.

I personally remember all my passwords. For most things I have a way to figure the password out if I forget it.
