Google 5.0

Unread post by Awesomesauce »

Hallo guys! Just Awesomesauce here surfing the interwebz.

So i found this new Google Earth, Google Earth 5.0 which lets you go underwater (not really useful but meh), go back in time (I'TS MANFULLY AWESOME), and you get to go to Mars if you are interested in Mars and stuffz.

In case you don't already know, Google Earth is a program which allows you to see teh ENTIRE WORLD ON YOUR SCREEN. Its a 3D world and you can zoom in close enough to see your dog and zoom out far enough to make the earth a little ball on your screen. How they did this is they took whole bunch of satellite images and put them together to create your own movable, 3D world. You can travel wherever you want without all the cost. (It's free btw). It also has lost of neat features in it like weather, youtube, pictures, street views, etc. etc.

So yea i was pretty excited and still am because it is SWEET.

:)

With the help of Google Earth i realized where i will live when i get old enough to move....

GREENLAND FOR TEH WIN.

Looks so nice there, every building is colourful.

I have had some time with this and it is really cool. It is a great way to find out information about the earth that you didn't know in a visual way.

When I first got it I spent 5 and 1/2 hours just looking at all the places I have lived, worked and visited. It kind of made me feel insignificant... but then I saw this.

Well, I don't care if it rains or freezes,
Long as I have my plastic Jesus
Riding on the dashboard of my car
Through all trials and tribulations,
We will travel every nation,
With my plastic Jesus I'll go far.

wow. anteres crushes all!

im a huge abuser of google maps, but never really used google earth much. the issue always was that they had spotty sat shots of most of the rural areas of ontario that are local to me. might have to give google earth a second go.

Part of my job is doing weather overlays and putting other information on top of Google Earth so it looses a lot of it's cool when it's work.

I've seen that, I'm in astronomy class and that was one of the first things we did.
Okay class but I hate the teacher!
