Simple question
I'm trying to play wave files through my computer's built in microphone since I might as well find a use for it, so I looked around teh interwebz looking for something that could do that. Couldn't find anything that I would have to hold down the mic button to use. If anyone could direct me toward such a program I'd be thankful.
Life is whatever.

Re: Simple question
To play sounds through a microphone, you can either use the custom programs half-life in order to play sounds through the in-game microphone. Otherwise, you have to record them from a speaker directly into the microphone or use something like an auxillary cable with a separate input.

Re: Simple question
I have something called a Belkin Rockstar. I never wouldhave gotten it if I wouldn't have been given one for free but it is actually pretty useful.
It has one dedicated headphone input and 5 additional headphone input/output jacks. You can use it to do all sorts of shit. My buddy uses his to record music off of his Zune Pass by hooking his output jack to his input jack.
I use mine at work to hook multiple devices up to my headphones at the same time (my computer and my Zune) so I don't have to switch back and forth.
