my pc at home is now over 2 years of age. (wow thats really quick!) and its time for me to upgrade it.

AMD ATHLON X2 4600+ (dual core, 2.4ghz)PROCESSOR
Nvidia 8600GT VIDEO CARD
2GB RAM
640 GB HARD DRIVE
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit

and im thinking on upgrading to
(same mobo)
AMD Phenom II X4 (Quad core, 3.0 ghz) PROCESSOR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103471
Nvidia 285GTX VIDEO CARD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814143190
6GB RAM
(same Hard Drive)
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (i have 2 HDD's I will just install this on another one and unistall vista on the other one)

now what i need from you is a quick summary of what you think. i dont have enough money to totally buy a new computer or get even better stuff.
P.S. i already have a CD of windows 7

The new computer your going for is more than enough and won't be outdated for quite some time. I recommend just buying all the parts you listed and putting it in a nice big case. just make sure to know that the video card (285 GTX) will fit in there cause it is pretty large...

Age is really irrelevant to me unless there is a new game that is worth upgrading just to get (I had to wait 2 years after purchasing Oblivion to get a computer that could run it, and I got it just for that)
Anyways if you have an old computer then enjoy the classics. They're cheap, run well, fun, and plenty of people still play them.
