Share and discuss movies that you recently watched and enjoyed.

For me, I watched "The Skeleton Key" with my sister last night (I know its an old movie but I digress)
It was really good at the end. Had a huuuuge twist. I recommend it to those who haven't seen it :D

Oh snap. From that list I've seen: Eternal Sunshine, Fight Club, and Into the Wild - All of them were inspiring films. Maybe not fight club so much but it had an awesome twist. Into the wild and eternal sunshine have got to be in my top 5 fav. Strange that you mention them =o

they have all given me some kind of inspiration. even fight club.

well a recent film that i forgot about is slumdog millionaire. its pretty great.

just to let you know, The Royal Tenenbaums, A Life Aquatic, and The Darjeeling Limited are all independent films, with all the same cast, just different stories and characters. Bill Murray, Danny Glover, Owen and Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller... i forget who else.. and you have to watch them from a dry comedic point of view..

I belive all of those movies were also written or co written by one of the Wilson Brothers. Also, there is a third Wilson brother that nobody knows about.

Those are Wes Anderson movies Captain, and the Willson you are thinking of is Owen. They are good friends.

BTW a movie I just sw that I think did not get the attention is deserved (and I am a film buff) is "30 Days of Night"

I know they are Wes Anderson movies Plastic. He got hooked up with the Wilson brothers in film school and Owen Wilson co-wrote Bottle Rocket, Wes' first movie. And no, the third Wilson brother I am thinking of is Andrew. There are three Wilson brothers. Luke, Owen and Andrew.

I haven't been to the movies in awhile, too expensive. Rather sit at home watch a $1 dvd and have beer or any food I want while laying on a couch. And keep my other $19+ dollars.

I did watch 30 days of night. I guess for a zombie flick it wasn't bad.

Mongol Lifestory of Gangus Kahn. Great movie (all subtitled though), he had quite the will to survive, I won't ruin it but it was a damn good movie IMO.

A Scanner Darkly Awesome movie about drug addiction... Great art style (same as Waking Life which was boring). great cast. Must see.

Kung Fu Hustle Crouching Tiger meets Looney Toons. How could you not like it?

Just watched the ever so popular Twilight. I would be more satisfied with a sex scene in there (BAHAHA) Can't wait for the next twilight to come out

Watching monty python will not get you laid. Talking about it or quoting it only makes it worse. Don't be that dude, don't say, "nee," and yes I know there are chicks that dig it too, but they are few and far between and you are not going to find one so move on!

This thread needs brought back

I saw The Karate Kid a while ago, it's a pretty good remake, they changed enough to make it a different movie but not enough to make it worse, except they changed the kick at the end to make it look more awesome

Didn't see it. Turned away by the 2.1/10 rating. Gonna assume it's awful.

cop out - I loved it it was really funny
she's out of my league - pretty good, had a few boring parts but for the most part it was funny
hot tub time machine - hilarious, there's not much else to say about it without giving away most of the film
no country for old men - pretty good, by the end though I kinda lost interest and didn't understand what happened at the end completely
the book of eli - GREAT movie

so if you're going to watch a movie, I'd suggest cop out then the book of eli, or vise versa
