On the funmaps server it's mostly teleporting. Teleporting is fine and all if people are playing cyberpunk and you just want to build in the skybox or snipe on the tallest building or whatever, but if you are playing a map with a goal like a cp or a team trial, you are cheating when you teleport. It doesn't matter if YOU don't like the goal of the map, other people are trying. When you teleport yourself to the finish or someone else from where they are, you are ruining other players gameplay.

Something I have seen a lot of on both servers is people deciding to make admin decisions without a vote. If you want to mute someone, if you want to turn melee on, if you want to change a map, take a vote. If it's you and one other person on a server and you say "wanna do melee?" and they say "yes." then by all means don't call a vote. But if you are tired of getting sniped and just outright change it to a map you like, that's admin abuse. If you mute someone because they are annoying you and you didn't call a vote, that's admin abuse. If you turn on melee because someone said it would be fun and you agree, it's admin abuse.

It's not just you playing. It's everyone. Yesterday I saw someone kick a pug because the pug wouldn't heal them as a medic. I seem to constantly have some sort of asinine vote called while I am playing asking if the person who called the vote should mute themselves. I have had people straight up change a map because they aren't doing well. I have watched people mute kick or ban Duckwalk outright because they don't like him. You want to know why he is so angry and confrontational when he is on here? It's because a handfProxy-Connection: keep-alive

Understand that I am not trying to be a dick. I like you guys. If I didn't I would just go play someplace else, but I get pretty tired of watching people bully others or ruin MY game because they have the same admin power as 90% of the server but can't seem to leave it alone.

This is the biggest problem I've seen with abuse yet. For some reason, if people don't think you're playing the game like they think you should, you get kicked/banned/muted without a word said. Likewise, if they don't think the game is going like it should, they change it without a word said. There are such things as votes and warnings. Use them, you'll be glad you did (just don't abuse the votes, that there is a problem in itself).

..Also there's the cheating on some funmaps, but that's usually fixed with a quick kick in the pants.

If you finish the map then jump down to the other side and start killing people who are making their way up, expect a kick.

I'll admit, I put up with so much shit from the kids at my last job (a group home) while having to just grin and bare it without telling them how absolutely fucking retarded and asstastic their behaviors were that when playing TF2 and seeing people do the same stupid shit that I don't always hold my tongue. I will often get a heated in my condemnation when my team is being extra retarded, and I know this, but I don't resort to admin abuse to get people to do what I want and if I start getting mad and talking too much about how I hate people I usually just switch teams or rage quit and anyone with admin powers is wProxy-Connection: keep-alive

come to mute me, I will not resent it at all. I did once kick my entire team on Desperados at the end of the round once because of the most terrible performance I had ever seen in defending, but I have never done anything nearly that asinine since. I know that we don't have very tight standards, and I think that's actually a plus as when you start applying tighter and tighter standards it can get overboard with everyone chiming in with their say (SM clan server died from problems stemming from that). I think it's a good thing that we have CaptainAngry to keep us in line, as he has a fairly level head, and it is usually better to have someone like him in charge of something like this.[/spoiler]
