If you had to ban an average of 5 dumbasses a day, you'd probably do the same thing...
All players that I trust that have been on the server before have been put on the whiltelist. The server crashed a little, and will be a lot of trouble to get back up. I lost all 25 people I banned recently. This is the main reason why the server is whitelisted. My main antigrief measure is also down, as well as chest protection. I will be getting the banlist back by going through the server logs, but with an average of 5 griefers a day, and no antigrief measure, the whitelist will probably save the server. Why don't I try and bring the server up? Well I only lost 25 or so names, which are retrievable. Other than that, with the map reset at 1.8, it isn't worth the effort to try to get the server all the way on its feet anyways. If things keep up the way they have been, then 80% of the people who join the server get banned. The other 20% leave within a few minutes. The server has stopped growing and thus the whitelist won't even be that much of a problem. In case I forgot someone I'll be watching and scanning the server logs for any failed logins.
