Breakfloor Discussion!

Unread post by the.kinggeorge »

We need some more talk about breakfloor. I really dont get why people hate on it so much, its just another fun map in my opinion. We should keep the non-broken breakfloors on the nominate list, like b5. So, what do u guys think? I'd like to know everybodies opinion on breakfloor in general.

I think we need no talk about breakfloor, and less playing. It's not horrible, just each round takes way to long and is a lot of just waiting before you actually see people. If I got to choose, I'd take it down for a month or so then put it back up so that it would still be played, but not 3 out of 24 hours on some days (and I mean that literally). Of course that probably wouldn't work regardless, but I wish we could play on maps like cp_factory or plr_whalerace occasionally.

you are right, it does take a long time, but the other maps u suggested are more mainserver maps, and im talking about the funserver. besides, the map doesnt let things last forever, the floor will break, leaving everyone open to attack or fall in the pit. and if anyone is being a cloaked spy, we can just get an admin to do somethin about it. there are many solutions to the problems of breakfloor

And nobody cares because it's a funserver map. A terrible one at that. Also I don't think whale races is a mainserver map.

considering the main server is a stockmaps server, stock maps are the only maps for the main server (apparently).

Back in my day we had to break our floors the hard way, with our hands, uphill in the snow.

i agree. snowbridge is terrible. but cowpath, meh it was alright. the cow dispensers were the only thing I really liked because someone actually took the time to make a model of a tf2 cow.

Personally I've never been a fan of breakfloor maps in counter-strike, i don't think i've played one in tf2 but i'm convinced it wouldn't be any more appealing.

I think it was out before TF2 was even released. I remember playing it that long ago. Fun, if you knew what the hell you were doing.

Compared to Melee "Let's see who jumps/charges into the hole fastest" Checkers, it's not a bad map. Though playing a whole set of it can get monotonous.
