check the serial; its probably silkscreened on to the drive label somewhere; through the segate look up utility here: https://apps1.seagate.com/rms_af_srl_chk/
is it one of the models here?

FYI: Seagate 500GB drive problems
this is basically a heads up to anyone using 500GB 7200RPM drives from Seagate. 20-30% of these drives will simply fail, becoming a complete brick with no warning. I've had a few contact that have had to deal with these problem drives, simply RMA'ing them via the reseller (one guy had three of them)...

Re: DSL connection really bogged down now
well, speaking from (far too much) support experience -- anyone you get on the phone should be looking at previous notes, just so they dont cover the same ground all over again -- call them on it! tell them to look at the notes (the wankers). its AT&T -- chances are the right hand doesnt know th...

Re: DSL connection really bogged down now
We've had so many problems with our AT&T DSL connection. Here's just a new one. For a little while now, pages load like dial-up, and nothing downloads faster than 65 kb/s. Its always around 60 kb/s. as mentioned, it could be that you have developed a line problem, but a couple of points from th...

That tells you your problem. its overheating but not to the point where it damaged it...yet. So in the future you need more cooling. Dusting it can only make it cooler. indeed. regular cleaning is always a good idea, especially if you have pets in the house. is your rig on the floor? if so, see if ...

ok. both these stories are total BS , however, i would like to point out that comparing railguns (or any other gaussian type weapon) to invisible tanks is an apples vs. oranges situation. as mentioned, a railgun has superior firepower but uses up massive amounts of resources, extremely limited deplo...

I'm with Giggle on this. I could never do it, I've had my ears pierced since I was about 3months old. I could never gage my ears, I think about what I'd look like old or dead in a coffin and I don't want the last thing people see of my is giant holes in my ears. My sister who lives in Colorado gage...
