I've played the first Bioshock a bit, it's fun.
I don't have Bioshock infinite, but it really does sound extremely different from the first. I imagine the gameplay is still the same, though.

I usually play as a medic (I wear a genuine planeswalker helm as of now), cause not many people do, and I thought if I did then everyone else can happily choose a class without getting worried and raping the "E" button every 2.5 seconds.
